We need support
BlogPost from 1st of June 2020
The harsh reality has really started to kick in. Our staff is on their third month of 50% salaries. And all our Tuk Tuk drivers has had absolutely no income for more than three months. All of them have families, and many have bank loans they need to pay back and are really starting to struggle to make ends meet.
Last month we gathered most of our staff and Tuk Tuk drivers in front of a totally empty Angkor Wat. It´s BEAUTIFUL, and really a once in a lifetime opportunity. But mostly it´s sad! An empty Angkor Wat means no tourist. No tourists means no jobs, no income to support our families.
Like we said in a previous BlogPost - being from Norway, it´s devastating to see what the Cambodian people now has to struggle trough. In Norway people get help from the government. In Norway the money is there to help in a crisis like this. That is absolutely not the case in Cambodia.
For all of you who have been here and felt the warmness of our staff and Tuk Tuk drivers - now its time for us to reach out to you (and anyone else who have some extra to spare in this difficult time).
Can YOU help us survive this crisis and help us support our staff and Tuk Tuk drivers and their families? Any amount helps.
