Restaurants open in Siem Reap

BlogPost from 18th of November 2021

It´s been said that 90% of all restaurants and other tourism related businesses has disappeared here in Siem Reap during this time with the Covid crisis. But some are still here. Some are opening again, and new restaurants are opening up - giving the town a new positive vibe.

First I want to start with recommending our own restaurant. We have a vegan- and vegetarian-friendly restaurant, but you can also find traditional Khmer dishes with chicken and fish. Some people say you haven´t experienced real Cambodia before trying the national dish FISH AMOK.

Restaurant is open from 07.00 - 21.30.

Here is our selection of favorite café and restaurants - that we can strongly recommend.

The staff might not know all these places, so please ask us (the owners) about it. If you can´t find any of us around when you need the answers, I happily answer any question on my Facebook - search for Katrine Solhaug.

  • Haven - this place is amazing in so many ways. Eco-friendly, beautiful lush garden restaurant, many fresh vegetarian/vegan dishes - and by choosing to eat here you support their training program and thereby helping disadvantaged young adults.

  • Spoons - also a training program. Amazing food for reasonable prizes. Beautiful bamboo restaruant.

  • WILD - specialize in cocktails and yummy spring rolls of all kinds. It is perfect for kids - set in a beautiful garden. Toys available for your kid to be busy.
